Permanent Eyeliner is done utilizing
topical anesthetics. This lessens the pain sensation, and we find
that eyeliner actually is less painful than eyebrow tattooing. The
permanent eyeliner procedure usually takes 1.5- 2 hours, of which
tattooing usually takes up 1 hours. Because of the nature of the
procedure, swelling will occur around the tattoo area. Each
person's tissue swells differently. Swelling too quickly makes the
tissue less presentable for implanting the pigments. If this
happens, then we just have to do more on touch up at 8 weeks after
the initial procedure. Usually right after the procedure, clients
will think that they have too thick of an eyeliner. Clients that
have permanent eyeliner will find that 4-6 days after the initial
procedure, they will experience a sloughing of color at the
eyeliner site. This is a normal and expected occurrence.
After initial sloughing, clients will then have an idea of how
much pigment has taken, however, full normalization of pigment
implant wont take place for 3-4 weeks, with tissue healing by week
