Stretch marks ?  What are they? How does a person treat stretch marks ?

Stretch marks are caused by a breakdown of elastin and collagen fibers in the skin. Through the years many different purported treatments have come to market. Many off them fail miserably to eliminate unsightly stretch marks. They do however do a good job of thinning the buyer's wallet. 

What works for stretch marks ? Aside from expensive specialized Laser treatment that attempts to stimulate new collagen formation, the only other treatments for stretch marks are few specialized creams that stimulate a healthy skin environment that enhances the skins ability to produce more elastin fibers. Treatment usually takes 2-3 months.  Buyers need to beware of expensive creams that do nothing more than moisturize skin and have no scientific evidence supporting their claims.
